“Totally awesome” for once can be taken literally!

We drove to the edge of Pine Bluff overlook for a 60-mile  vista to distant hills of the Ozarks above the valley near Russellville in the center of Arkansas, and more critically important, in the CENTER of the SHADOW. The sky was blue and clear, and the high wispy cirrus decorated but did not obstruct the fireworks. Venus and Jupiter danced a duet on opposite sides of the corona. Red flare and diamond necklace beads shone brilliantly. Wow. Nothing in your experience of life prepares you for a total eclipse of the sun. Psalm 19 is probably as good of a preparation as you can imagine.
