The most scenic, curvaceous, undulating, well maintained roads for cycling are the D roads in the hills and vineyards surrounding Cotignac. There is little traffic, and the terroir is magnifique.
















All these pictures are from one single 45-mile ride today. Every 100m I felt like taking a photo or sampling local specialties.




Just arrived, finding our way through the maze of old walls into le coeur de la ville.


Arrived with no cycling kit, but there’s a bike shop on every corner, so off we went, into the shops and then the hills. Girona feels like Disneyland for cyclists.





Not having fun yet. Canceled flight, extra flight, delayed flight, and now, no baggage.

Embracing Autumn.






September. Summer is still going strong. And so are we five guys. We like to think September will last a long time and we can stave off the fading light of October as long as possible.
